CPA Bulk Messaging offers the Customer an API to send and receive SMS messages to end users in the Telia mobile network.

Some of the benefits of SMS communication are:

  • SMS is the messaging service with the highest number of users – you may reach all Norwegian mobile users
  • messages are opened and read - SMS has the highest open / read ratio of all messaging services
  • SMS is the preferred messaging service for important messages

An increasing number of businesses use Bulk Messaging, an efficient tool for communication. The yearly growth rate of Bulk SMS messages since 2013 is 25 % (NKOM statistics).

Customer is charged for all SMS message segments successfully delivered to Telia messaging centres. Messages sent from an End User's mobile phone to Customer's Access Number is charged the End User according to the applicable prices of the End User's subscription.

CPA Positioning illustrasjon.

CPA Positioning allows you to locate mobile phones and equipment indoors and outdoors with an accuracy from around 500 meters in big cities to around 10 km in rural areas.

Positioning use areas:

  • switchboards
  • security solutions
  • fleet management
  • mobile content services like weatherforecast

Privacy policy

Positioning requires voluntary, explicit and informed consent from the mobile phone user. This is collected by the UAPS customer (company).


The end user can temporarily of permanently block his / her subscription against positioning via calling the Telia customer call centre. The end user can still be located if calling 110, 112 and 113.

Note: The traffic is retrospective, i.e. if the Customer is requesting 10 000 positions during a month, the traffic fee will be 10 000 x 0,20 NOK.

CPA Terminal Detection informs you of the mobile terminal type of a mobile subscription, and is ideal for solutions where you want to differentiate a service based on the mobile terminal type.

Digital ID and signature for secure transactions.

All customers in the Telia network are enabled to activate the Mobile Bank ID service on their SIM card. More than 470.000 customers use this service, on an average 14 times per month.

Telia partners at your service

For many companies, purchasing a solution from a Telia partner is a better alternative than integrating to the Telia API directly. This normally also requires to enter into a separate agreement and integrate towards the other mobile network operators.
